Experience the ancient art of starting a fire with raw materials around you. Learn the skills our ancestors used to spark fire from friction, connecting with nature and our human roots. You'll learn to identify the plants you need, learn to process them, and then practice spinning a coal yourself. Please bring the following to class: - knife you are comfortable using. If it folds, it must have a lock - water + snack - pad to sit / kneel on - weather appropriate layers -sunglasses / sunscreen / bug spray We do cancel this class for heavy rain and thunderstorms. If Wayfinder Outdoors cancels for weather, you will receive a 90% refund. If you need to cancel your reservation, please cancel 48 hours beforehand. Cancellations less than 48 hours beforehand but more than 12 hours beforehand will receive a 50% refund.
