Safety
Our courses are challenging and we're proud of that. Challenge in beautiful places is transformational, and we don't become our most badass selves without the challenge. While challenge is important, safety is critical. We strive to balance safety with challenge, because we don't learn and grow in healthy ways in unsafe situations.

Training
Ali is a Wilderness First Responder and has received this training from several different organizations (NOLS, Wilderness Medical Associates & Walker-Muir Medical Co-op) over the course of a decade.
Guest instructors have relevant certifications from internationally recognized organizations. These include certifications like W-EMT, ACA Kayaking, ARC Lifeguard and more.

Experience
Our instructors bring thousands of miles and thousands of hours of outdoor leadership to Wayfinder Outdoors. They have spent extensive time leading others through wilderness areas all over the world.
When you spend this much time in so many different places, you end up dealing with a wide array of medical, environmental and logistical challenges. This gives us ability to keep our cool under stress and solve problems in the safest, most effective way.

Risk Management
We minimize your exposure to unnecessary risk, but the reality is that we are able to eliminate risk entirely. We cannot control nature. Nature, and life, is full of risk.
We believe risk can be a useful tool when it is used with discretion.
We carry well stocked medical kids and rescue equipment specific to the activity and area we are in.
Insurance
Wayfinder Outdoors carries liability insurance through Thimble.
